I’m suspicious of activities that on the surface seem like studiositas, but in fact are curiositas. An example would be collecting things like fossils, animal skins, even old books; stuff that is put on display meant to impress. Even if the owner has knowledge in the field, what’s the point of displaying them? (Fine art could be an exception.)
